Post Title : Marketing and Events Co-Ordinator
Flexible Working Pattern :
5 hours a week (excluding Events weekends).
Event weekends (minimum 4/ maximum 10) will require an additional 20 hours of planning and
administration each.
Grade : Living Wage £7.83 per Hour
12 x Average monthly payments will be made of £169.65, plus any events additional hours that
52 weeks per year (4 weeks holiday increasing to 5 weeks after 5 yrs service plus bank holiday and
statutory days)
Location : Nafferton Recreation Club
Responsible to : PC Clerk
Post Objective : To provide marketing support and events management to the Nafferton Recreation
club ensuring maximum occupancy of all the facilities and optimum generation of funds for the
Other Considerations :
The position would best suit someone based locally to the Rec club and flexible on days worked , as
timings of duties will not be static and on occasion there may be multi visits to the building in one
day, and potentially 7 days a week.
The postholder should be computer literate and be familiar with social media and other marketing

references and an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Maximising paid bookings is a key responsibility of the role, and in order to do this the postholder
1. Maintain social media presence for the Club on its Rec Club Facebook page , using this and other
local media groups as outlets for information on the Club and to generate hirer leads
2. Respond within 24hrs maximum to queries regarding booking opportunities, and maintain the
booking diary until an online booking system is created (once an online booking system is available it
will be the postholders duty to update / maintain this)
3.Work with the website team to ensure all website information is up to date
4. Meet potential hirers at the Club as required and showcase the facilities, and clearly outline the
hire costs
5. Liaise with Sports Clubs to ensure no clash of fixtures
6. Once a booking is made, ensure the administration of deposits and final invoice payments in
accordance to the Clubs terms and conditions
7. Ensure all Club subs / rents are collected in good time and are paid to the Clerk.
8. Liaise with the Cleaner / Caretaker regarding upcoming bookings and the cleaning / setup / take
down requirements of such bookings
9. Update U5s on a weekly basis of the upcoming bookings
10. Regularly liaise with local newspapers / radio regarding upcoming events and interest stories
relating to the Club
11. Find and maintain a roster of 3 rd party preferred suppliers for Bar, Food, Bouncy castle services
etc, and negotiate preferred rates or donations to eve
It is the intention of the Club to run a number of Events each calendar year such as Bonfire Night,
Summer Fair, Christmas Fair etc. The Marketing and Events Co-Ordinator will be instrumental in the
success of these Events bearing in mind that the Club is a Charitable organisation:
Duties will include the following:
● Planning re optimum dates , ensuring no clashes with other local events, and that there are
enough PC volunteers available on that date to support
● Market the event to stallholders and other service providers
● Source and arrange additional elements for the Event such as Marquee / Bouncy castle /
Fireworks/ Music
● If a ticketed event , ensure the Tickets are printed and available to attendees in good time
● Estimate costing and profit for the Event – all events should be expected to break even as a
minimum requirement
● Market the event to ensure maximum attendance
● Collaborate with local groups regarding participation in Events
● Liaise with local businesses regarding donations and gifts for raffle and auction prizes
