The Driffield area Medibus is a door-to-door service that runs people to and from local hospitals, clinics, doctors’ surgeries and dentists, Monday-Friday excl Bank Holidays. Passengers can also use the service for visiting friends and relatives in hospital. All the vehicles used on the service are wheelchair accessible but wheelchair users must be accompanied & their chair type must be officially crash-tested.  It is run by ERYC for patients and hospital visitors as far as Scarborough and Hull.

The Medibus Callcentre is open 0830 to 1630 Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays) Tel: 03456 445959 . Callcentre operators will identify themselves as Passenger Services and ask which service you require (Medibus or Mibus)*. Alternatively you can email details of the journey you require along with your contact details to the Medibus Callcentre:

Once your booking has been accepted the driver will call you the night before to advise you of your approximate pick up time.

NB:  appointments from 3.30 pm or later cannot be guaranteed a return journey, so a single journey only can be booked.
If the Medibus is still at the hospital when your appointment is finished they you may ask the driver for a return journey.

Note it is important to book as soon as you get an appointment as it cannot go to Hull and to Scarborough / Bridlington at the same time!

ERYC concessionary passes accepted for journeys starting after 09:30.  Otherwise there is a charge of £5 single/£10 return.
