The intention is for the various Notices of Election to be published on 29 March 2021 and nominations will open on 30 March 2021, closing at 4.00pm on 8 April 2021.
There will be a pre-nomination briefing for candidates and agents on 11 March 2021 starting at 6.00pm. Due to the ongoing restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the briefing will be held on Zoom. This session will concentrate on the nominations process and outline some of the election arrangements as they have been finalised by this time.
There will be a post-nomination briefing for validly nominated candidates and agents on 15 April 2021 starting at 7.00pm. This again will be held on Zoom.
You may be aware that changes are being made with regards to the nomination requirements and we are still awaiting the revised nomination forms from the electoral commission. Further guidance is also being prepared by the Cabinet Office and the electoral commission for candidates and agents around campaigning and canvassing and this will be available from the electoral commission website once it is published.
Please feel free to circulate this e-mail to colleagues and acquaintances as you feel necessary.
Anyone who would like to attend the pre-nomination briefing are asked to e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
The link to access the meeting via Zoom will then be circulated to those people that have informed me that they would like to attend.
Details of the post-nomination briefing will be circulated to the validly nominated candidates for the various elections along with election agents following the close of nominations.
